Jacques & Marie
The Swing Troubadors
Jacques & Marie join together to form a unique Franco-American team which finds its inspiration in the panache of French Cabaret spiced with the sensuality of American Swing. They have performed extensively in Europe and the United States in concert and on national radio and television, with featured appearances on FOX “Good Day New York,” and NBC “Weekend Today.”
Their twenty-year partnership has grown substantially since its inception, from cabaret duo to 12-piece orchestra, performing for tots, teens and adults. Their clients and sponsors include Baccarat, Air France, Piaget, Hallmark Entertainment, Limoges, Lillet, Castle Rock Entertainment, The Plaza, Pierre and Sofitel Hotels.
Jacques and Marie celebrate the joy of France and the charm of its culture in both English and French. Their extensive repertoire includes internationally acclaimed favorites by Piaf, Chevalier, Montand, Trenet, Joe Dassin, Josephine Baker, “Fats” Waller, Michel Legrand, Louis Armstrong as well as original French compositions.
As leaders of the “Paris Swing Orchestra” they have performed most recently for the French Institute/Alliance Française NYC, The University Club, The National Arts Club, The New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, and have been the featured artists during the French Ambassador’s Bastille Day celebrations in Washington, DC and at Lincoln Center’s Gala Opening for the Paris Opera Ballet.
